A prayer means reflecting over good thoughts. Prayer is an excellent medium for sanskars i.e. (education about good values). ‘Sanskar’ means enhancing virtues and reducing vices in an individual. Sanskars are a must for all, young and old. Reciting the hymns at the auspicious time of the evening makes the mind cheerful. The mind, which has become restless, due to the drudgery of the day is pacified. Therefore, one should take some time out of one’s busy schedule for the evening prayers. Revered Swami Vijnananand has analyzed the utility of prayer, hymns, mantras and chants through modern science. Based on his research, Manashakti Research centre has presented hymns, verses and prayers for everyone, young and old. According to physiology, 125 million cells are regenerated every second. Regular prayer refines the cells and within 186 days a favorable change in one’s personality occurs. These prayers should be listened to and recited regularly for achieving concentration, sanskars, academic success, freedom from tension and disease, purification of home and familial happiness. Similarly, the thoughts in the prayer should be put into practice and supplemented by selfless deeds.
